Daily Word From The Lord for December 19, 2016:

Click to enlarge - feel free to share :)

I show you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on in-corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1 Cor. 15:51-53

When Yeshua returns, according to Paul, believers both dead and alive will be caught up to join the Lord in the air. The English phrase "caught up" is a translation of the Greek word harpazo, which means "to seize upon with force" or "to snatch up." Latin translators of the Bible chose to use the word rapere for "caught up," which is where the English term rapture came from.

Paul mentioned Yeshua's dramatic reappearance in response to a problem facing the church at Thessalonica (in modern day Greece). The Thessalonians believed (as did most Christians in that era) that Yeshua's return was imminent. BUt some of their members had died. Those who remained feared their deceased loved ones would miss out on the salvation associated with Christ's Rapture (1 Thess. 4:13-18).

Paul corrected the Thessalonians' misunderstanding of Yeshua's return. He informed the church that the "dead in Christ shall rise first," preceding those still alive in being gathered in the clouds to meet Yeshua in the air. As a result, both will be caught up to Yeshua. The dead will be raised to life, and Christians who are alive at the time will be transformed shortly after the time clock Israel is divided one last time. Both groups will be FOREVER with the Lord (1 Thess. 5:10).

The language Paul used in 1 Thessalonians 4 mirrors the language used to describe how ancient cities welcomed visiting dignitaries. Upon hearing the trumpet blast, citizens of the city would set out to meet their esteemed visitor and escort him back to the city entrance (Acts 28:15).Paul seems to be saying that believers will meet Yeshua in the air to accompany Him and His glorious throng of angels as He calls everyone up in the air. The same believers will come back down to the Mount of Olives at the 2nd coming fulfilling Zechariah 14:4,5 and Revelation 19:14 right at the start of the Battle of Armageddon.

As we draw close to the 70th week of Daniel, we must patiently await for the glorious appearing of our Lord & Savior Yeshua HaMashich. I saw an angel light up in front of my book case and this convinces me that the reapers are ready to reap us up whenever Peace & Safety is proclaimed when Yahweh's land is temporarily parted... i.e. until Yeshua returns and sets things right..

I hope this message blesses you and I hope and pray we go home soon. Shalom.
