DEBKAfile: White House in dialogue with Netanyahu on Settlements & 2nd Meeting between Trump Envoy & Netanyahu on Peace Process

Netanyahu: We are in dialogue with White House on settlements

Ahead of his second meeting with President Donald Trump’s peace envoy Jason Greenblatt Thursday night, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said: "We are in the midst of a dialogue with the White House and our intent is to reach an agreed-upon policy regarding settlement construction. Policy that is acceptable to us, and not just to the Americans," Netanyahu said. They talked for five hours. He also repeated his promise to rehouse the families evacuated from the Amona outpost at a new location.

Second meeting between Netanyahu, Trump envoy Greenblatt concludes

Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu met for three hours with Jason Greenblatt, US President Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, on Thursday at the prime minister's residence in Jerusalem. During the meeting, their second this week, they discussed the possibilities for a peace agreement between Israel, the Palestinians and the countries of the region. Earlier in the day, DEBKAfile's sources reported exclusively on the main points raised by Greenblatt during his meeting on Tuesday with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah.
