In response to the rocket attack, an IDF tank reportedly struck a Hamas position in the southern Gaza Strip.

A rocket launched from the Gaza Strip late on Sunday night landed in open territory near Israel's security fence in the Eshkol Regional Council.

The IDF swept the site of impact for any remains of the projectile.

Incoming rocket alert sirens were not sounded as the rocket was headed toward an unpopulated open area, according to initial reports.

In response to the rocket attack, Hebrew media reported that an IDF tank struck a Hamas position in the southern Gaza Strip.

This is the second rocked launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israel in the past two days.

No casualties or damages were reported in either of the attacks, nor were alert sirens activated.
